During the Add a Case step, all transactions/orders automatically receive the status of Placed (8). That being said, this is a temporary status which should be updated to reflect the transaction/order outcome.
This is a critical step in assessing Fraud accuracy and it ultimately feeds our machine learning model to eliminate your Fraud. The Statuses you forward will become a collection of Statuses on the Digital Verification Case, so our system can see the decisions you’ve made throughout the process.
Merchants can face a number of scenarios, and each transaction outcome may not be as simple as Yes/No, therefore we require that a Status is forwarded to Digital Verification, indicating what the final outcome was.
